The Poinciana Festival delivered on its promise to showcase, promote, and acknowledge artists, musicians and filmmakers here in the Cayman Islands. The festival's attendees were amazed by the ingenuity, diversity and quality of the work that Cayman's thriving artistic community is producing. Award winners were recognized and the late Miss Julia Hydes was presented with the Poinciana Lifetime Achievement Award. Festival attendees and winners raved that Poinciana's events are clear evidence that Cayman's cultural scene is expanding quickly and gathering momentum as Cayman is poised to become the Caribbean's cultural leader.
With its roots firmly planted, a strong foundation has been laid for the 2017 Poinciana Festival.
